Online Education Course
The best part of this course the last two weeks is how much learning I had to do. I had never heard of a feed gator, nor had I ever created a blog. I did a lot of reading and really appreciated having the Blackboard discussion postings to help set up the gator. I have spent a lot of time reading and thinking. It has been fast paced, but I have learned things that I can use in my classroom. I took the Tips and Tricks tour on Tuesday at 5:30 before our class chat, and had a very knowledgable guide named BJ. I got lucky that a person from a university had logged into the session and wanted to know more about creating accounts for students to blog within the TappedIn site. I saw a couple of things that I will try to attend in September that were on the calendar. I have yet to decorate my office, but plan on doing that this holiday weekend. My biggest problem is my own time management skills. I get so caught up in reading and following link after link, I lose track of the original assignments. I am going to use tomorrow to stay home and really focus on week 3’s assignment. I look forward to the chat on Tuesday because it was so good.
While I was waiting for our class chat, a classmate and I chatted through the TappedIn site. We have a couple of classes together and had good discussions about projects and what we have learned so far.
